Cinco de Mayo is a Big Deal here in North America. On this day each year, we like to think that Mexico’s win in the face of great odds was one of their greatest contributions to our culture. The truth is, their plant medicine has had a bigger and more lasting impact on our daily lives. Today, we’re talking about a few of the herbs we love most from Central and South America.

We discussed medical marijuana and its use for treating children with epilepsy. The discussion was sparked by an article by Carly Schwartz published in April 2015 by Huffington Post entitled “Thousands of Families Demand Legal Medical Marijuana for Their Critically Ill Kids.”
