Tea for Better Communication: Practical Magic

Tea For Better Communication: Practical Magic

Calendula offers a magical boost when you’re working on shedding old patterns. As a sunny, drying friend, this flower knows how to cut through the mucky, swampy thoughts that can pool about and create stagnation in our growth. This tea blend is all about clearing out that damp, old crud that’s making it hard to slog ahead on your path. As a bonus, it’s also a terrific blend for later winter or post illness recovery, especially if what you’re recovering from was of a cold and damp nature.

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • a resealable container large enough to hold the finished product
  • a label

  1. Pour the herbs into the mixing bowl and gently stir them with a spoon. Try not to break up the plant parts since this will release the essential oils.
  2. Pour the mix into a resealable container.
  3. Label the container with the name of the mix, ingredients and date mixed.

Storage and Use

Keep your tea blend in a sealed jar in a cool, dry place, like your pantry. Make your tea a cup at a time using 1-2 teaspoons of tea for every 8 to 10 ounces of water. If you’d like to lighten it, garnish it with a slice of lemon, lime, or orange just before serving. This tea blend works well as a cold infusion, too. So, if you want a healthy iced tea, add two or three tablespoons to a quart of water and let it stand several hours or overnight. Store the resulting tea in the refrigerator for two or three days. Drink your tea iced in the summer for a lovely treat.
