This blend of Mediterranean blend gets a flu and cold fighting boost with the nutrition in nettle and rosehips. Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme are all powerful anti-viral, anti-bacterial herbs. When you’ve been exposed to flu or colds, or fear you’re fighting off the worst, they give your system some extra muscle. Nettle and rosehips offer your body the vitamins and minerals you need to win the battle. Be sure to rest somewhere comfortable and warm, breathe in the steam from your mug, and sip this tea while it’s warm to get the maximum power from your cup.
If you like your tea sweet Honey is a natural for fighting off illness. But, if you cannot use honey and want to avoid sugar, a few herbals and others you might try include:
- 1 mixing bowl
- 1 spoon
- a resealable container large enough to hold the finished product
- a label
- Pour the herbs into the mixing bowl and gently stir them with a spoon. Try not to break up the plant parts since this will release the essential oils.
- Pour the mix into a resealable container.
- Label the container with the name of the mix, ingredients and date mixed.
Storage and Use
Keep your tea blend in a sealed jar in a cool, dry place, like your pantry. Make your tea a cup at a time using a tablespoon of tea for every 8 to 10 ounces of water. Take two to three cups a day until you’re a day or two past risk of catching whatever you’re fending off. Be sure to get lots of rest and plenty of water and nutritive foods, as well. Avoid processed, fatty, and salty foods until you’re in the clear, too, to help your body focus on the real fight rather than send extra energy into digesting.
This tea is safe for adults and children alike.
